Joe Kinnear is to join Manchester United’s backroom staff in a move hoped to improve coaching sessions at Old Trafford. He will take up his post after the Bayern Munich match.
Whilst Kinnear rivals fellow coach Jimmy Lumsden in age, he has told friends “my record speaks for itself and by joining United I will be able to work with such legends as Mickey Rooney, Les Ferdinand and Ryan Greggs.”
David Moyes said: “I’ve been trying to bring Joe in all season, and I hope to do my best with him, together we shall try some more, as we both are experts in the field of trying.”
