the Swedish referee Jonas Eriksson, who took charge of city-Barca at the Boo Camp earlier in the season (with the penalty and red card outside/inside the box) which led Manuel Pellegrini to say:
"I think it was not a good idea to put a referee from Sweden in charge of such an important match, especially a referee who has made an important mistake against Barcelona in a previous match."
